This role offers a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience with advanced technology in both decommissioning and renewable energy sectors.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate high-pressure water jets, diamond wire cutters, and shear cutters to remove offshore infrastructure.
- Collaborate with back deck personnel, boat crews, and onshore teams to install and deploy equipment.
- Use excavation tools to uncover buried pipelines or create trenches for new pipeline installation.
- Prepare and configure cutting tools for each project, ensuring readiness for offshore deployment.
- Perform routine checks and maintenance on equipment to ensure quality and safety for upcoming projects.
Qualifications
- Modern Apprenticeship (Preferred) – Many technicians start through hands-on apprenticeship programs, progressing into supervisory roles.
- No Formal College Requirements – While formal degrees aren’t necessary, many team members have engineering or related qualifications.
- Industry Experience – Prior experience in offshore decommissioning, renewables, or oil and gas production is highly valued.
